On 23 February we hosted a webinar to present our recent Institute Briefing Connecting ESG, Capital Markets, and CFOs which explores the evolving relationship between ESG, capital markets, and corporate finance.
Based on findings from interviews with more than a dozen CFOs, investors, and lenders, the Connecting ESG, Capital Markets, and CFOs report argues that CFOs and corporate finance teams will play a critical role in integrating ESG risks and opportunities into corporate strategy and operations.
Our panel discussed how ESG is changing the role of CFO, and explored how lenders and investors are integrating ESG into financing decisions. We also provided recommendations on the areas that corporate finance teams should prioritize in order to respond to ESG risks and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
