Organizer: Climate Action
A clean energy future requires 3.5 times the current supply of critical minerals according to the IEA. The speed at which critical minerals can reach markets, therefore, will dictate the pace of the energy transition and achieving a 1.5 degree future. Recent ERM research shows there are two significant bottle necks in the pace and scale of getting the required minerals to market: the dominance of junior and mid-tier miners who do not have the capacity to execute complex projects in challenging locations and delays in project development. Join us at this Roundtable to discuss how we can work together to unlock the supply of critical minerals to enable a tripling of renewable energy by 2030.
