ERM has released our Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement for fiscal year 2016 (FY16).

This is our first annual statement in alignment with the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and reflects our commitment to international efforts to abolish all forms of modern slavery - including slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labor and human trafficking, as well as child labor.

As a global organization, we recognize our responsibility to support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights, in line with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and the principles of the UN Global Compact, to which ERM is a signatory. Our business processes are further informed by relevant International Labour Organisation (ILO) Conventions and definitions contained within the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

This statement sets out the measures in place in ERM and the further steps to be taken, to ensure there is no slavery and human trafficking in our business operations and supply chain. Our policies, procedures and approach to business are underpinned by our commitment to the highest forms of business conduct and ethics. We describe our policy framework in this Statement and set out the processes ERM has in place to support on-going assessment and management of risks associated with our client engagements, direct business operations and business relationships.

Our approach is informed by our work with clients, multi- stakeholder dialogue and engagement with governments and international organizations. As a leading consultancy we are actively engaged in raising awareness and building capacity related to business and human rights and the broader sustainable development agenda.
