ERM Partner Simon van Wyk has become the first Certified Risk Management Professional (CRM Prof.) in ERM in Africa through the Institute of Risk Management South Africa (IRMSA).

IRMSA, South Africa’s premier institute for risk management, has developed occupational risk management qualifications that provide certification opportunities to ensure that a national standard is maintained in relation to the competencies and knowledge that are required from Certified Risk Management Practitioners and Certified Risk Management Professionals.

Simon completed the Board Exam in 2019 and the Panel Interview process in 2020, and is also an active member of IRMSA’s Risk Intelligence Committee and a keynote speaker.

ERM’s Risk & Safety Services are integral to our global offerings, with a focus on combining deep technical expertise with broad practical experience. Speaking about the designation and committee role, Simon says, “I am honored and privileged to have achieved the CRM Prof. designation and to be on the Risk Intelligence Committee. I have always been passionate about eminence and innovation and it is great for ERM in Africa to demonstrate that we are leading the way in this field. This is an important step as a foundation for future talent in the field of risk management in ERM, and that’s exciting”.
