On 8 March, ERM will join organizations around the world in marking International Women’s Day.
We will host events across our global office network to gather our teams in line with this year’s theme: Be bold for change – helping to forge a better working world for women.
Diversity at ERM
ERM takes its responsibility towards workplace diversity seriously and has published targets as part of its Sustainability Report for several years.
This year, our diversity goals relate to gender diversity, and each of our regions are developing medium term diversity targets as part of their diversity and inclusion plans. As part of our commitment to the UN Global Compact, ERM is also a signatory of the Women’s Empowerment Principles.
Our commitment doesn’t stop there however. Through our project work, ERM actively supports our clients to address diversity opportunities and provide support in their submissions to reporting frameworks including the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, the Carbon Disclosure Project, Global Reporting Initiative, and other public disclosures.
The ERM Foundation and aligning with the SDGs
In addition, the ERM Foundation has increased its emphasis on projects that have a strong focus on empowering women and girls. This is in response to our alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which state that female empowerment is key to advancing sustainable development.
Two organizations we have recently help to fund are Women for Women and Africa Development Promise.
