The world’s largest pure play sustainability consultancy, ERM, has acquired Stratos Inc., one of Canada’s leading sustainability and ESG advisory firms.  

As a management consultancy with more than 20 years’ experience working across industry, government, indigenous organizations and civil society, Stratos adds over 30 Canada-based sustainability and ESG practitioners to ERM’s +5,500-strong firm. The company brings deep expertise in ESG performance and risk management, stakeholder engagement, science and innovation, conservation and regulatory excellence, as well as a commitment to advancing Indigenous reconciliation through meaningful partnerships and collaboration.  

This acquisition further strengthens ERM’s leading capability in sustainability and climate change advisory services and builds on recent acquisitions including Sustainalize in 2021, M. J. Bradley & Associates and Critical Resource (both in 2020), SustainAbility in 2019 and BrownFlynn in 2018.
