ERM has once again been named as one of the top performers in ‘Reporting matters’, the annual review of companies’ sustainability and integrated reporting compiled by the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD).
The review is designed to improve the effectiveness of sustainability reporting practices. This year WBSCD assessed reports from 154 global member companies across areas including Principles, Content and Experience. It found that 93% of member companies in its benchmark have improved their overall scores since the baseline year of 2019.
ERM’s 2022 Sustainability Report titled “Accelerating Impact” achieved one of WBCSD’s top 10 overall scores for sustainability reporting for the fourth consecutive year. ERM’s report was developed in alignment with the new Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Universal Standard, which the firm published alongside its second full TCFD disclosure.
Sabine Hoefnagel, Global Leader of Sustainability and Risk at ERM said: “We’re delighted to be recognized by WBCSD for the quality of our sustainability reporting.
“We have been reporting publicly on our sustainability performance for the last decade, with a focus on comprehensive disclosures, early adoption of new standards and integration of market leading tools from ERM’s experts and innovators.
“Our clients need to respond to increased regulatory and stakeholder sustainability reporting requirements, and ERM’s own best practice reporting ensures we are well-positioned to help them navigate this complex landscape as we work together to shape a sustainable future.”
