Dr. Lihchyi Wen is an environmental economist and an expert on the issues of green economy, circular economy and green finance at the domestic and international level. She graduated from University of Connecticut of the USA in Economics with a Ph.D. degree in 1996. Before joining ERM, Dr. Lih-Chyi Wen had been serving as the Director of Center for Green Economy in Chung-Hua Institution for Economic Research and the Director of the Green Trade Project Office under the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Taiwan. Besides, she also led the WTO Center of Taiwan and had many experiences in “trade and environment” negotiations since the early 2000’s.
In 2008, Dr. Wen was awarded as one of the Top 10 Rising Stars in Taiwan by the Central News Agency. In 2014, she organized Eco-Products International Fair (EPIF) of the Asian Productivity Organization (APO), a highly successful international event in Taiwan. Throughout her career, Dr. Wen also served as many governmental committee experts, including the Economic Advisory Council of Electricity and Natural Gas Prices in Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Resource and Recycling Fee Rate Review Committee, the Green Mark International Cooperation Advisory Council, the Environmental Quality Advisory Committee of the Environmental Protection Administration of Taiwan etc.
