Mines and Money London is Europe's largest and most in-depth mining conference dedicated to global sustainability goals. With a focus on energy transition, ESG, decarbonisation and the circular economy, the conference will be divided into three main panels:

Re-imagining Mining: transforming mining through technology and innovation

On the second day of the conference, Louise Pearce – ERM’s Global Head of Risk and Global Mining Lead, will participate as a panellist in the keynote panel: Driving Sustainable M&A To Resource Tomorrow. Geraint Bowden – ERM's Regional Client Director (Mining, EMEA), will present on Resourcing Tomorrow the Keynote Address: The Mine We All Want To See.

Louise Pearce

Global Head of Risk and Global Mining Lead

Louise Pearce has over 25 years of international experience in sustainability consulting.

She concentrates on developing corporate strategy and risk management programs, along side managing complex global due diligence and post-merger integrations for the mining sector. Louise has an understanding of the key global mining health, safety, environment and community (HSEC) challenges and opportunities facing the sector, and works with major, mid-tier and junior mining companies to integrate the management of these risks into strategic business plans and life of mine plans. Louise was recently recognized as one of the Top-100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining - 2016 by the non-profit organization, Women in Mining.

Geraint Bowden

Regional Client Director (Mining, EMEA)

Geraint is a Senior Partner at ERM, specialising in mining & metals due diligence, impact assessment, closure and rehabilitation. He is ERM’s Mining and Metals Sector Lead for EMEA and a Global Mining Account Director.

Geraint has worked for over 30 years at all stages of the mining life cycle, helping mining companies, communities and governments in Europe and Africa to develop innovative and mutually beneficial approaches to mine design, operation, closure and beyond. Prior to joining ERM in 2006, Geraint worked for a UK Government Agency with responsibility for funding and management of multidisciplinary teams on a wide range of projects to address the social, environmental and physical legacy of some 200 years of mining and metals industrial activity.
