ERM Webinar: Sustainability Leaders Survey 2022 APAC Insights

Anirban is the Chief Sustainability Officer at the USD 20 billion Mahindra Group. Under his leadership Mahindra has developed an award-winning Sustainability framework, created India’s first certified carbon neutral factory, launched India’s first net-zero energy residential project, doubled energy productivity in a company, become water positive and made 25 locations zero waste to landfill. Anirban has led a shared value project that tripled per capita income for 50,000 rural Indians. He has been acknowledged as a “Thought Leader”, a “Distinguished Sustainability Officer” and featured in Greenbiz’s list of “12 C-Suite Sustainability Champions 2021”.

Madhulika joined Tata Steel in 1992 as Systems Trainee in the Information Technology Services (ITS) and after working for 29 years across various functions including working as Executive Officer to Managing Director, she decided to move on and joined ITC as Chief Sustainability Officer in Dec’ 21. She is passionate about Sustainability and committed to integration of Sustainability into all functions of Business. Some of her areas of specific interest are Climate Change and mitigation actions for transition and adaptation, adoption of diversity and inclusion at workplace, embedding sustainability in supply chain, product sustainability, adoption of digital for rendering sustainable solutions. She was recognized as one of the top 25 Sustainability Superwoman in Asia by CSR Works, Singapore in 2019.

Victoria heads up the GlobeScan team in Asia Pacific. She is a sustainability professional with extensive international experience; committed to integrating environmental and social factors into business to drive performance and growth. Prior to joining GlobeScan, Victoria held both consulting and in-house sustainability positions in London, Shanghai, and Hong Kong. Most recently, she was at Colliers International and the International WELL Building Institute. She has worked with a range of clients including Lendlease, Citibank, JLL, Manulife, Swire Properties, SunLife Financial, Accenture, and Haworth. Victoria established the WELL Faculty network in Asia and continues to play an active role in the global sustainability and wellness community, leading in events and knowledge sharing forums. She holds an MSc in Corporate Responsibility and a BA in Geography and Chinese Studies from the University of Nottingham, UK and she speaks Mandarin.

Kate has 10 years experience in corporate sustainability. Based in Bangkok, she supports clients across Asia Pacific to advance sustainability and climate performance, integrate key frameworks, future trends and stakeholder expectations into business strategy and planning. Kate leads ERM’s sustainability technical community in APAC. Her expertise includes sustainability and climate strategy development, materiality assessment, climate risk assessment, goal-setting, stakeholder engagement, data collection, corporate reporting (GRI, SASB, IIRC, TCFD) and ESG ratings. Sector experience includes food & beverage, agribusiness, petrochemical, apparel and power. Previously, Kate was a Manager with SustainAbility, ERM Group company, in London where she supported clients in consulting and thought-leadership projects. Kate holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Sustainable Value Chains from the University of Cambridge.

The Sustainability Leaders Survey is the largest and longest-running survey of its kind and has tracked expert opinions on sustainable development leadership for over 25 years.

Findings from the 2022 Sustainability Leaders Survey, by GlobeScan and The SustainAbility Institute by ERM, finds that sustainability leadership is increasingly being measured by evidence of action, impact, and above all the integration of sustainability into business strategy.
