Since coming into effect on 1 October 2020, the Equator Principles 4 (EP4) have resulted in an increased assessment scope for human rights, biodiversity and climate change, especially for investment projects.
Among various Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) topics, climate change is now getting more and more attention globally and in Vietnam, with an increasing pressure from investors, lenders and regulators to integrate climate-related risks and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions management and associated climate targets into companies’ business strategies as well as into new project developments in the country. In addition to international frameworks like EP4, the national requirements related to climate change are being developed by the Government of Vietnam.
During this webinar, you will hear from our climate change experts and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) on lessons learnt on how climate change aspects have been addressed in a number of development projects in Vietnam and Southeast Asia.
In particular, ERM will explain the requirements for climate change related compliance in the scope of investment and loan transaction. IFC will discuss their experience with climate change components from a financial investor’s point of view.
Join the webinar to:
- Understand the local climate policy context in Vietnam and new climate-related requirements of international investors, e.g. under EP4
- Get up-to-date information on how your business and investment projects can be compliant with climate change policies and requirements
