ERM will be sponsoring, exhibiting, presenting and hosting a client event this year at PDAC. We hope you can join us for one or more of the events listed below.
ERM will exhibit at Booth #326 throughout the conference. Visit us to discuss the elements we see as important to building sustainable mining operations through our ‘The Mine We All Want to See’ framework.
Companies have been very good at creating a safe physical workplace. Now many realize the importance to include a safe mental health workplace. Intergenerational trauma, remote work environments, time away from home and family, racism, sexism and addictions add to the challenges of the modern workforce.
This session will welcome speakers from Glencore, Gitxsan Development Corporation and Makivik Corporation, and will be moderated by ERM Partner, Vicky Weekes.
Vicky leads a Sustainable and Community Development team that works at the ecosystem level with industry, governments, and Indigenous organizations on pressing sustainability issues – including in the mining sector. In collaboration with external partners, clients, and team members, Vicky has been building a Reconciliation and Self-Determination practice, that is aligned with ERM Canada’s Reconciliation Strategy. Vicky has degrees in resource and environmental management and psychology, and she is a registered professional planner with the Ontario Professional Planners Institute.
ERM’s reception will welcome a panel of global mining CEOs, Government representatives and ERM’s global leaders to discuss the topic: The Race for Critical Minerals: What’s Really Critical? The panel will explore how companies can move at pace and mitigate key bottlenecks across the value chain.
This event is by invitation only. If you would like to hear more, please contact Emelie.Forsberg@erm.com
This exclusive event will welcome a small group of senior executives to discuss ‘The Nature Advantage: Nature-Driven Strategies for Long-Term Business Resilience’ over dinner. Held under Chatham House Rule, we will explore the challenges and opportunities for organizations to ground their business strategies in nature-first models, including decarbonizing operations and mitigating risk through approaches that protect, restore, and sustainably manage nature.
This event is by invitation only. If you are interested in joining, please contact Emelie.Forsberg@erm.com
In partnership with PDAC, we will award the ERM Sustainability Bursary of $3,000 for Innovation in Environmental and/or Social Performance across any of the following disciplines: exploration, environment, geoscience, engineering, geochemistry, social performance, and stakeholder engagement. This bursary will provide support to the next generation of pioneers and leaders so that our industry can continue to generate sustainable value for all stakeholders in the years to come.
