Windaba is an African owned and managed Conference and Exhibition for Wind Energy stakeholders, who are active on the continent. that enables public and private sector to share expertise, Windaba brings together key stakeholders including professionals, policymakers, academics, government representatives and civil society. The 12th annual event is the flagship event of South African Wind Energy Association (SAWEA), supported by the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC).

Breanne is an experienced and accomplished director of strategic accounts with more than 15 years work experience across the European Union, North America and Asia (10 in offshore wind) looking to leverage background in contract negotiation, PMO and new market strategy to support an offshore wind project development team.

Breanne has worked with a variety of international offshore wind developers to optimise both project economics and uncertainties in the wind farm development phase. She is an expert in go-to-market strategy and understands the challenges and risks associated with entering a new country.

Irene Bopp

Partner, ERM

October 11th at 15:30 pm: Moderator in the panel discussion on “Just Energy Transition”

Irene is a Chartered Environmentalist specialising in the management and compilation of ESIA's for mining and associated infrastructure projects internationally. She has managed environmental contributions from screening and pre-feasibility study phases through to meeting operational objectives, whilst ensuring compliance with international standards and local regulations.

In addition, Irene has complementary experience focusing on operational excellence, business optimisation and strategic growth on an organisational level. Mineral experience includes coal, iron, gold, sand and platinum mining operations. Further experience includes water treatment facilities, wind power, geothermal power and hydropower generation. Irene has worked in the Republic of Liberia, Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo, South Africa and Guyana, as well as Serbia, Armenia, Poland, and Turkey.

Sifiso Siwela

ERM Africa Manager – CSA Global

October 11^th at 16:15 pm: Panelist in the session on “the Role of African Critical Minerals in the Global Energy Transition”

Sifiso Siwela is a professional geologist who specialises in exploration, mineral project valuations, Mineral Resource estimation and reviews as well as M&A due diligence reviews. He has some 20 years’ consulting experience in various commodities including battery metals, base metals, precious metals, precious stones and industrial minerals. Prior to joining ERM, he was Senior Manager at Deloitte Technical Mining Advisory and responsible for managing global multi-disciplinary projects across mine value chain from strategic exploration planning, target generation, technical reviews, mine audits to mineral strategy design.

Sifiso is a Fellow and Past President of the Geological Society of South Africa (GSSA) and is the Vice Chairperson of the SAMCODES Standards Committee that develops, maintains, administers, ensure compliance with, and promotes the SAMREC, SAMVAL and SAMOG codes as well as SAMESG guidelines. He is also a member of the Southern African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (SAIMM) and the Society of Economic Geologists (SEG). He has also lectured on compliance and reporting in the extractives industry at Wits University as well as geochemistry at Rhodes University. His expertise has been recognised though publications and speaking at various conferences.
