Ramesh Narasimhan is a Managing Partner and Global Service Leader of Sustainable Operations at ERM based in New Orleans. Ramesh has been in the EHS and Sustainability consulting space for over 25 years with experience across numerous industry sectors. He has implemented projects globally in air quality, carbon accounting, carbon strategies and sustainable development. The focus of Ramesh’s current role at ERM is on applying 50 years of ERM’s foundational experience with traditional EHS compliance for operating facilities into the sustainability and climate paradigm to help companies drive sustainability/carbon performance improvements, maintain compliance, operationalize strategy and disclose their sustainability data confidently. Throughout his career, Ramesh has particularly focused on the oil & gas industry and has supported upstream, midstream and downstream O&G companies improve their air quality and greenhouse gas performance across their capital project developments and operation of existing assets. Ramesh was also a founding member and implementation lead for reforestation projects in Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya and India under the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) established by United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Ramesh has a master’s degree in chemical engineering.
