James Stacey is a Partner, Global Lead of Clients & Industries and member of the ERM Executive Committee. James is a senior sustainability professional with 30+ years of private equity, banking and professional services experience, working in senior roles at the interface between sustainability, finance and investment; business strategy, performance and corporate disclosures. James co-authored the G20 Financial Stability Board Task Force for Climate-related Financial Disclosures Technical Guidance, 2017; the now globally referenced and increasingly mandated approach to determining implications of climate change to future financial performance. He was previously a Principal Partner at Earth Capital, the clean tech and clean energy infrastructure asset manager. Earlier he was Global Head of Sustainable Business at Standard Chartered Bank. Previously, James led KPMG's UK Sustainability consulting and global environment transaction services practices. James has acted as a Fellow for the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL), with whom he has delivered sustainability leadership development to corporate senior and C-Suite executives since 2008.
