Cristóvão is a highly experienced economist in ESG valuation of companies for equity and credit investors, ESG due diligence for M&A and project finance transactions, and second-party opinion (SPO) for ESG-labeled debt transactions. He is based in ERM's Rio de Janeiro office. He was voted the 2nd best ESG analyst globally according to Extel's Independent Research on Responsible Investment 2019 and has authored articles, studies, and white papers on ESG investment in equities and credit analysis, deforestation risk in agri chains, and water efficiency, among other related topics. He holds a bachelor's degree (cum laude) and a master's degree in economics from The Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, along with being a certified securities analyst by APIMEC.
