SK leads the Malaysia and Brunei business for ERM, to help accelerate low carbon economy and energy transition, focusing on diversified energy, power, manufacturing, banks and financial sectors.

With over three decades of successful track records in the international energy sector, SK has driven outstanding business results and established strong energy industry network across Asia, Americas and Europe. His areas of experience include project management, strategy review (country, region and global level), mergers, acquisitions and divestment, due diligence, corporate governance, commercial negotiation, digital deployment, LNG trading, operations with P&L responsibility, lobbying and advocacy work.

Prior to joining ERM, SK held various leadership and board positions across diversified energy sector, including Shell Group. He builds international expertise and defined by his passion for people and culture, having worked and lived in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, US and UK; and conducted business extensively across China/North Asia, ASEAN and US/Latin Americas.

SK is passionate about sustainability, building inclusive culture and businesses transformation.

Andy advises both listed and private companies on ESG strategies, sponsors and lenders around project finance due diligence, and buyers and sellers regarding risk mitigation in M&A transactions. With close to 20 years of prior experience in transaction, corporate and investment banking, Andy also collaborates with banks in Southeast Asia to co-develop their sustainable investment and finance frameworks (e.g. Sustainable Trade and Supply Chain Finance, Sustainability-linked Deposits, etc.), provides senior-level executive training, and oversees major green, social, and sustainability-linked second-party opinion projects for their clients (e.g. PT SMI, UOB SAGE program, Keppel Corp, etc.).  He also leads ERM’s Carbon Markets in Southeast Asia.

Before pivoting to sustainability, Andy’s last role as a fixed income, currency and commodity advisor / dealer in a major global bank also enables him to uniquely layer robust commercial acumen into his current ESG advisory engagements. Andy holds a Masters in Sustainable Development and an MBA (Data Analytics) with Distinction. He was also a GRI Certified Sustainability Professional and a PRI Advanced Responsible Investment Analysis holder.
