ERM Webinar: ESG Integration and Its Impact on Chief Financial Officers

Simon Crowe is the Group Chief Financial Officer of ERM, based in London, United Kingdom. With over 25 years of experience in both private and public companies across the US, Europe and Asia regions, Simon has successful track records in corporate transactions, balance sheet building in growth, restructuring, transition and deal situations, and most recently in ESG integration and financing. Previously, he held leadership positions in Gaslog Ltd and Gaslog Partners LLC where he was the Group CFO and played a key role in their rapid growth. Simon is able to share insights from both a practitioner and advisor perspectives to drive financial resilience with purpose, against complex situations.

Anthony serves as an Independent Director, Chief Planning and Chief Financial Officer of PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk since November 2015. He has worked in the O&G Industry since 1994 in a variety of positions in Strategy, Portfolio and Risk Management, Business Improvement, post-acquisition company integration, Finance and Planning. Previously he held various leadership positions with Premier Oil, ConocoPhilips and Mobil Oil. He began his earlier career with GEC Marconi and PwC. He holds a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering from Bradford University and Master of Business Administration from Manchester Business School, University of Manchester. He is a member of the Institute of Directors in the UK, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and has undertaken climate change certification with Climate Competent Boards.

Ben Arnott has over 20 years of professional experience in the energy sector in Asia Pacific, the last 8 of which have been with Societe Generale where he leads the bank’s Energy Finance and Advisory business for Southeast Asia. Ben joined Societe Generale in 2015 from Standard Chartered Bank where he led the team responsible for financing oil & gas projects in the region. Ben is a renowned expert in the energy finance sector in Asia Pacific and has successfully closed loan facilities totaling over US$50bn and won numerous Deal of the Year awards from major finance publications. Ben holds a degree in Geology from Imperial College, London and a post-graduate diploma from Aston University, UK.

Vinita joined the firm in 2014 and has over fourteen years of executive search experience. Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Vinita was a member of India's start-up team for Bristol-Myers Squibb where she held sales and marketing roles including marketing responsibility for Taxol, the company's blockbuster anti-cancer chemotherapy drug. Over the last several years, Vinita has successfully completed a number of CFO and CHRO searches in technology, healthcare, consumer goods and industrial sectors. Her clients include BSE NSE listed companies, private equity portfolio companies as well as Indian subsidiaries of global multinational organizations. She has also worked with private equity and venture capital funds, recruiting talent for their portfolio companies.

Trista Chen is a Partner with ERM based in Singapore, leading the Financial Sector and ESG Transaction Advisory Services in APAC. Trista has over 15 years’ experience in Strategic Sustainability Consulting, advising clients on managing ESG issues in transactions including IPO and post investment/ loans ESG value enhancement. Her guidance to clients has helped to secure investments, facilitated integration and ESG opportunities management. Her advice on ESG risks, emerging ESG opportunities as well as their potential financial impacts enabled financial and trade clients to evaluate the viability and future sustainability of their investment plans.
