Alberto Vega is dedicated to Environmental and Sustainable Development. Specialized training in management and financial analysis, and a solid education in environmental and natural sciences, provide him with the ideal tools to successfully manage complex environmental protection and conservation projects and programs. He is a system ecologist with more than thirty-five years of significant experience in leading environmental and social assessments following the Equator Principles Framework and other International Best Practices such as IFC Performance Standards and IADB Safeguards for a variety of sectors including water resources, oil & gas, transportation infrastructure, and power including renewables(solar, wind, and hydropower). His experience includes some of the most iconic projects in the Americas such as the Panama Canal Expansion and the propose Grand Interoceanic Canal through Nicaragua.
