Redefining Value helps companies measure and manage risk, gain competitive advantage and seize new opportunities by understanding environmental, social and governance (ESG) information.
ERM supports WBCSD's efforts in building collaborations and developing tools, guidance, case studies, engagement and education opportunities to help companies incorporate ESG performance into mainstream business and finance systems. The goal is to improve decision-making and external disclosure, eventually transforming the financial system to reward the most sustainable companies.
Our focus in FY21 and beyond include several pathways under the Redefining Value workstream.
CFO Network and Redefining Value Board: ERM CFO Simon Crowe is participating in both of these key leadership forums for financial leaders, including WBCSD’s collaboration with PRI. ERM is also hosting a CFO Roundtable on Vision 2050: A Time to Transform. ERM Senior Consultant Nick Jackson has been seconded to support the CFO Network and deliver on its work program.
Enterprise Risk Management and ESG: A team led by Alexander Cox is contracted to deliver training to selected companies.
TCFD Scenarios Project: ERM is part of a WBCSD lead team commissioned by the TCFD Secretariat to develop reference scenarios for businesses operating in the energy system. A team including Rob LaCount, Chris Van Atten and Sylvain Pastor are involved in this key project which will be launched ahead of COP26.
ERM CEO Keryn James spoke at the 3rd Webinar in the Business Council for Sustainable Development Australia's "Redefining Value in the time of COVID" series.
Though my secondment to WBCSD, I will be helping to grow the CFO network, ensuring a critical and united voice changes the financial system to include environmental and social capital considerations."
