Circular economy: at the intersection between mining and tech

After much planning, and a change of plans to deliver via a virtual format due to COVID-19, ERM hosted a Technology and Mining Forum on "Circular Economy: At the Intersection between Mining & Tech.”

Our goal was to bring together key clients from both sectors to discuss the circular economy and share insights on the challenges and opportunities that exist. The forum was facilitated by ERM’s Kate Sellers, Product Stewardship Technical Director.

As calls for a circular economy grow, the practical aspects of achieving circularity often remain murky. Curiosity and a commitment to resolving challenges brought together 11 mining and technology companies from different points in the value chain to explore perspectives around this topic.

The forum was the first in what we plan as a series of engagements between our Technology and Mining clients. Future forums include Community and Social Responsibility, and Collaboration and Transparency of the Supply Chain.
