ERM has now joined the Brazilian Business Council for Sustainable Development (CEBDS).

Founded in 1997 by Brazilian business leaders, CEBDS today brings together about 60 of the largest business groups in the country, with revenues equivalent to about 45% of the country’s GDP.

ERM is collaborating with CEBDS on the revision of Vision Brazil 2050, part of the larger Vision 2050 revision led by WBCSD with the support of ERM. We helped develop the Vision 2050 Brazil for Biodiversity and Forests, which consolidates expectations and provides guidance to the review of Vision Brazil 2050. Our principal consultant Viviane Severiano facilitated the Vision 2050 workshop for Biodiversity and Forests, organized by CEBDS and held on July 8th. We have also been participating in discussions of the other topics addressed by the Vision 2050.

ERM is a founding member of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), with ERM Group CEO Keryn James serving as a member of the WBCSD Executive Committee and Co-Chair of the Energy and Climate Program. By officially joining CEBDS, we are continuing discussions and initiatives on embedding sustainability issues into business and its effects on society and the environment.
