ERM, the world’s leading sustainability consultancy, has completed the acquisition of Michael Pisani & Associates, Inc. (MP&A). MP&A is a leading environmental consultancy focused on clients on the U.S. Gulf Coast and providing contaminated site management and litigation support.

Established in 1995, MP&A provides a broad range of environmental services, including wetlands and coastal ecology, litigation support, sediment assessment and clean-up and other specialist soil and groundwater offerings. It has a leading position in the oil and gas sector, and services the upstream and midstream segments of oil and gas, as well as the legal, metals and mining, manufacturing, chemical and transportation sectors.

ERM is a leading provider of environmental remediation, safety, and sustainability services to similar sectors and is committed to deepening relationships with our clients on the Gulf Coast. With the acquisition of MP&A, ERM will broaden its service offering to its clients in the oil and gas sector by adding deeper technical expertise in litigation support, and it will strengthen the services it provides in site remediation and wetlands/coastal ecology.

MP&A brings to ERM a team with skills that are highly complementary to those in ERM’s existing practices and consolidates the company’s presence across a broad range of offerings. The acquisition also strengthens ERM’s position in the complex remediation market as part of its objective to shape a sustainable future with the world’s leading organizations.

“Bringing MP&A on board is another significant step in our long-term growth strategy in the oil and gas sector. It also accelerates the growth of our burgeoning litigation support capabilities,” explained Keryn James, ERM’s CEO. “We have been impressed by the long-term relationships MP&A has developed with many of its clients, some of whom we share, the quality of its client service and, of course, its people. There is a great fit between our companies and we look forward to combining our joint technical expertise and thought leadership to better serve our clients.”
