Annual Biocontrol Industry Meeting - ABIM 2022

With two decades of experience as an EU regulatory consultant, Joachim has focused on the acquisition and coordination of client registration projects for the approval of agrochemicals in the EU, in particular biocontrol solutions. While working for a major CRO he established an integrated service in close liaison with other business units on a global scale, covering regulatory testing and consulting.
Prior to this, Joachim supported the growth of a consulting firm for 10 years as a Managing Director, responsible for the EU biocides business development (client acquisition, relationships with regulatory authorities and collaboration partners) and for providing senior strategic advice and advocacy for clients. Joachim also holds a winegrower’s degree and spent 8 years of research in the control of grapevine diseases in Germany, Switzerland and the USA.

Katharina has 10 years of experience in regulatory affairs of agrochemicals and works as project manager for biopesticides. She is involved as an efficacy expert for biological active substances and plant protection products. Katharina is highly experienced in field efficacy data management using ARM/ARM ST and prepares Biological Assessment Dossiers as well as dRR Part B Section 3 for product authorisation.

Jeroen is well known in the crop protection sector, having been involved in a number of regulatory functions at the national level in the Netherlands as well as at EU and global levels. He spent nearly 5 years working as a national expert in DG SANTE, responsible for various projects related to the implementation of Regulation 1107/2009, including ‘minor uses’ and biopesticide issues.
Jeroen held the post of Coordinator in the EU Minor Uses Coordination Facility, based in Paris, and has also chaired the Expert Group on Biopesticides (EGBP) as part of the Pesticide Programme of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

Jeanne has more than 10 years of experience in regulatory affairs of agrochemicals, and works as project manager for Plant Protection Products. Before joining ERM, she was regulatory project manager and toxicology expert in consultancy (PPPs/biocides), dealing with active substance and product dossiers, as well as various regulatory projects and study monitoring.
Jeanne was also responsible for the dermal absorption department and study director for more than 300 dermal absorption studies.

Dawn's background is in metabolism science and holds a PhD in applied analytical chemistry. She has extensive experience in regulatory study design, conduct and the registration of plant protection products and active substances in Europe. Since 2017, her work has been particularly focused on bio-protection, specifically natural substances.
More recently, Dawn has been actively involved in the implementation of the new requirements stemming from the Transparency Regulation, addressing the use of IUCLID to be used in the submission of active substance dossiers and MRL applications, to meet the new transparency requirements for pesticides, she leads the IUCLID-PPP team at ERM.
